One of my favorite books is “Elegí Vivir”, written by a chilean college student, Daniela García. In this book tells her story of life; from childhood had the dream to study medicine, and when she was 22 years, Daniela was building this dream, but fate put obstacles in his path: in the year 2002 Daniela traveled to Rancagua for a study tour , but in this travel she has an accident falling from a train car in which he traveled: she lose her hands and legs. Daniela was faced with a terrible ordeal, maybe many people would lose their faith and would stop believing in their dreams, but she took all the strength, love and support of her family and boyfriend, fought for each their goals, despite how difficult it is to the career, she began to be rehabilitated. She entered to Teletón institution, where he met wonderful people who helped in the process, making face their fears and obstacles to further study, and so after a few years, he qualified as a doctor.
I read this book about 5 years without any special intention, just my uncle left the book in my house. I hadn't recommendations of books and, only knew about Daniela because I could see her in the television, participated in the Teletón, but did not know beyond her history. The most important for me in this book is the message: choose to live, despite all the problems we must not stop dreaming and fighting for what we want, and very importantly, we must cherish every moment and opportunity that God gives us.
